    The Senior Manager of Systems Engineering Department will oversee all activities for new products/platforms, including requirements definition/management, systems integration, design assurance, verification processes, risk management, algorithm development, usability engineering, and design transfer for complex mechanical systems. This individual will manage a team of highly technical system and hardware engineers and collaborate cross-functionally to develop high quality products at a system level, meeting both time and budget considerations in line with Company objectives.

    Core Job Responsibilities

    o Lead a team of engineers responsible for the systems requirements (hardware/software/controls) for the Company's new platform technology in Laser cutting equipment.
    o Identify, manage and mitigate technical risk and project risk through coordination with cross-disciplinary team in R&D and external providers.
    o Manage systems architecture and all systems integration activities.
    o Oversee the planning and coordination of all prototype builds.
    o Oversee the development plans in accordance with department goals and objectives.
    o Builds, nurtures, and leverages team to support group activities.
    o Conduct Project Phase and Design Review meetings per the Company's operating procedures, and coordinate Technical Design Meetings as necessary, to identify milestones, risks, and issues.
    o Drive staffing plans, team communication, and major budget decisions.
    o Identify and ensure area of technical responsibility complies with the most current applicable international technical and safety standards.
    o Create and maintain all documents needed for the Design History File (DHF).
    o Build, position and lead the team to ensure the methodical development of systems to commercialization while maintaining a focus on new innovation.
    o Identify innovations and competitive advantage developments and recommend for IP protection
    o Develop a platform technology roadmap that is designed for future product iteration/releases.
    o Other related duties as may be assigned.

    Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience
    所需的知识/技能、教育和经验
    o Minimum of 7 years' experience in product development in the precision instrument device industry with increasing levels of responsibility within an R&D organization.
    o Prior senior management responsibility for the development and successful commercialization of complex systems in the precision instrument device arena.
    o Experience in precision instrument device and full stack systems integration, preferably including robotics, machine learning, control systems, and software.
    o A strong background in design control, requirements planning/management with complex, precision capital equipment is required.
    o Experience in managing complex projects with ambitious milestones under pressure, having accomplished milestones on time and on budget.
    o Strong leadership skills coupled with an excellent management history with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
    o Advanced degree in relevant field is preferred, combined with related area or equivalent R&D experience with commercializing complex precision capital equipment.
    o Prior senior leadership position in development processes, efficient use of prototyping resources, standards and methodologies, and prioritization of business objectives.
    o Experience solving complex technical problems while leading a multidisciplinary team of experts.
    o Prior experience managing not only the execution of new products, but also developing and managing the product pipeline.
    o Strong analytical skill set, as well as high creativity, flexibility, and ability to think "out of the box".
    o Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    o Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university, Required
    o Master of Science Degree (MS), Preferred
    o 至少有7年的精密器械行业产品开发经验,在研发机构中负责程度不断提高。
    o 在精密器械领域开发和成功商业化复杂系统的高级管理职责。

    o 既具有新产品执行管理经验,又具有开发和管理产品管道的经验。
    o 较强的分析能力,以及高度的创造力、灵活性和跳出框框思考的能力。
    o 良好的书面和口头沟通能力。
    o 四年制大学本科学历(本科以上学历)。
    o 硕士学位(硕士)优先。
