Primary Objective:
We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Firmware Engineer specializing in application layer development, middleware development, architecture, and design, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing firmware solutions for our products. Your expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing firmware applications and middleware will contribute to the success of our projects. Main Responsibilities:
? Design, develop, and maintain firmware at the application layer for our embedded systems.
? Develop and implement middleware components to facilitate communication between hardware and software layers.
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and product managers, to define firmware requirements and specifications.
? Conduct feasibility studies and provide input on firmware architecture and design decisions.
? Optimize firmware performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and minimizing power consumption.
? Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in accordance with coding standards and best practices.
? Perform thorough testing and debugging of firmware to ensure high-quality and reliable products.
? Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop test plans and perform integration testing.
? Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in firmware development, and incorporate relevant technologies into projects.
? Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Qualifications:
? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
? Hands on firmware development experience of 5 years or more
? Solid experience in firmware development, with expertise in application layer development, middleware development, and firmware architecture and design.
? Solid understanding in C/ C++ programming language, data structures and algorithms. Good knowledge on Zephyr RTOS (and/or embedded Linux)
? Good knowledge on LTE, BLE, Wi-Fi, or GNSS
? Good knowledge on MQTT, HTTP, TCP, and SSL/TLS
? FW architecture, middleware layer or Lib design experience is MUST
? Multi-threads programming experience is MUST
? Familiarity with communication protocols and standards commonly used in embedded systems, such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, and wireless protocols.
? Experience with software development tools, debuggers, emulators, and version control systems.
? Knowledge of hardware design principles and ability to collaborate with hardware engineers on firmware-related issues.
? Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
? Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
? Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
? Previous experience in the development of firmware for IoT devices or consumer electronics is a plus.
? Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is desirable
