Objective of the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Accounting & Regulatory
Reporting to join the Greater China finance team at a time of significant
growth and change.

As the Head of Accounting & Regulatory Reporting you will have a broad remit
across the finance function and wider organization, having accountability over
our internal and external reporting deliverables. You will work directly with
the Asia Finance Director and Greater China Managing Director, acting as a
solid business partner for the Greater China market.

You will be managing a small team of local experts whilst collaborating
closely with the Finance Centre of Excellence to facilitate the production of
the financial result, and the Planning & Controlling function to enable
effective business partnering in the Greater China market.

You will be working closely with the Finance Centre of Excellence – a global,
innovative entity of the Finance function delivering key services to all
Business Units – in order to facilitate the production of financial results,
and collaborate with the Planning & Controlling department to enable effective
business partnering with the Greater China Managing Director and his/her
executive committee.

Main Duties

61 Accountable for monthly and quarterly financial closing governance,
collaborating closely with the Finance Centre of Excellence to ensure accurate
and timely delivery of the financial result;
61 Single Point of Contact for all regulatory reports: Responsible for all
local regulatory, statutory and tax reporting requirements, managing third
party stakeholders relationships, e.g. regulatory and tax authorities, drawing
on support from the Finance Centre of Excellence;
61 Responsible for the coordination of internal and external accounting
audits, including timely follow up and closure of any related findings;
61 Ownership of the end-to-end financial control framework, ensuring control
design and operating effectiveness remains in place with ongoing organizational
changes;
61 Accountable for ensuring strong balance sheet oversight, including detailed
movement analysis on a quarterly basis;
61 Supporting the Managing Director, Finance Director and Planning &
Controlling lead in business partnering within the Greater China market,
supporting the growth ambitions of the business.


About you

61 7+ years post-qualified accounting experience, ideally with a general
insurance background;
61 Strong Local GAAP and IFRS accounting knowledge;
61 Experience in operating in an international / matrix environment;
